A Loving God Doesn't Threaten His Children with Hell?

You say a loving God wouldn't send His creatures to hell, and it's unfair to threaten and intimidate you by holding hell over you ,....right?

In reality hell is a certain consequence for those who choose that fate willingly. A place not intended originally for man, but for satan and his angels.

God takes no delight in the death and punishment of the unGodly, and in fact has done everything possible to help us avoid it. He does not want to see a single soul enter condemnation anymore than a parent would enjoy seeing their beloved child go astray in the world, subjecting themselves to horrific danger and disaster they bring on them self.

The fact is, the universe would not function without it's natural laws of duality ; There is a binary aspect to all things....light-dark, good-bad, death-life, etc. Thus there would and should be a counterpart to eternal happiness, for it to have any meaning.

If there is no consequence for wrong doing, how does goodwill make sense?

And if everyone gets to go to heaven, then it ends up being no better place than here on earth. Where God resides, no sin can be present. The heaven I look forward to is a perfect place.

Hell makes no sense, until you come to see it through the clarifying lens of love.

Sin is a danger to you and those you love. A father will go to any length to protect his children. Ultimately, survival demands the extermination of evil that endangers the innocent, and our loving heavenly Father has a plan for vanquishing the disease of sin which threatens the safety of His children and just punishment upon the purveyors of infectious sin.

Make no mistake...God's perfect love, must include Justice.

Shiloh- Do you sincerely believe that eternal blessedness has lesser or even no value without an opposing everlasting torment? Do you actually want to say this, that the good NEEDS evil to truly be the good?

that's umm,..not exactly what i said. I said evil makes good have meaning. if everything is good,..then nothing is. think about it.
God actually takes no pleasure in "everlasting torment" of the wicked, His heart breaks rather because people choose it willingly over eternal life. But, if dead leaves in your yard have no value but rather create an atmosphere for disease or pests,...what do you do with them, go and sit on them in the lotus position chanting that eternal blessedness is all around??...lol

Actually there once was a time in the garden of eden, and very soon again, as seen in revelation 21, that evil will be forever non-existant, and paradise will reign eternally. If sin and evil were there,...it wouldnt be heaven to me.

However God has a perfect will, and a permissive will, but either way His will is done.
For this present time on Earth, God's word says He created evil for His purposes, which to me means He allows it to further His plans of glorifying Himself and bringing about redemption. Christians know that all things work together for their good in God's ecomomy. Guess you need to take that one up with Him.
